RTDOTT (short name of the game) has been originally developed by the Spanish studio Pendulo Software and was published by Focus Home Interactive on PC in November 2006. RTDOTT is a point and click adventure game and was quite a commercial success.
In 2007 Focus asked Cyanide Studio to do the port of the PC game to DS, Cyanide hire me as the lead programmer and project manager for the porting in Avril 2007. The task was not easy (try to fit more than 4gb of data in 128mb…) and didn’t had much time (the game had to be finished in September). 2 others developers from Cyanide join the team a bit later and we face many problems : memory usage, storage space, video and the game engine itself.
Finally the development of the game went well and everything was ready in time, the game was released in November and had a success and good reviews. Funny thing a making-of the DS version was made for the TV and website, first time I had to do this… funny …
